C.O.I. has established outreach bases in New Orleans and Galveston to facilitate disaster relief from hurricanes Katrina and Ike.  The sites are similar; teams start the day early and generally return in the early afternoon to escape the heat of the day. People are slowly returning from their sanctuaries outside the affected areas. The need to express their loss and anguish is still present in their everyday lives. Your group will be an invaluable part of their recovery by helping to clear debris, gut homes, paint, landscape and spread the love of Jesus Christ to those you contact.

Galveston still needs your help to recover. The residents are deeply moved by the simple act of C.O.I. teams joining them to help rebuild their lives. The real impact, on a mission trip providing disaster relief, is the joyful feeling God will place in your heart that begins with the warmth and appreciation of the people you help.
